WORLD SNOOKER CHAMPIONSHIPS 2012

Fixtures for the 2012 World Snooker Championships at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield have now been finalised after the finish of the qualifying session on 16th April.

The Championships commence on 21st April and will include the world's top snooker players who will face 16 challengers. The snooker aces include Ronnie O'Sullivan, Judd Trump, Neil Robertson, Mark Allen, Ding Juntiui, Ken Doherty, Stephen Lee and the reigning World Champion John Higgins.

World Champion Higgins admits to not having had the best of seasons so far but is practising hard to beat challenger Llang Wenbo. Wenbo is a Chinese professional and his country's no 2 snooker player. He is left handed and is based at the Grove Snooker Academy in Romford, England. Wenbo has already defeated Higgins' fellow Scotsman Marcus Campbell by a close score line of 10-9.

The 16 giants of snooker realise that they may be in for a tough time as their 16 challengers appear to be in tremendous form. John Higgins especially hopes to remain World Champion. John is sponsored by the Glasgow company Negotiate Now, owned by Stephen Lyall, a successful entrepreneur and his many Scottish fans wish "The Wizard of Wishaw" every success.
